| Full renovation started when it was taken over by the Spanish International chain Barcelo Hotels and Resorts in December 1998. It was built in a modern architectural design arranged in three asymmetrical towers with four floors each surrounded by beautiful gardens. All rooms are exterior and most of them with magnificent views of the river. The hotel is located in the area where the Expo was held, only five minutes from the historical district, ten minutes from the airport and eight minutes from the train station.
