| The Metropole, one of Malta's traditional hotels, is situated in the upmarket residential sea side town of Sliema just minutes from a bustling promenade that runs along the sea coast which in summer is a popular bathing area with locals and visitors alike. The promenade runs all the way along the coast to the Sliema - Valletta harbour on the one side and the popular town of St.Julians 10 minutes walk to the other side. This town is especially known for its fine restaurants and evening entertainment however, there are several shops, restaurants and bars in and around the immediate area of the hotel and by the harbour a 10 minute ferry crossing service to Valletta. To go further afield, there is a reliable public transport system which passes regularly from a nearby bus-stop giving inexpensive access just 15cents, to all parts of the Island. |
